Melanie (mezzo soprano) studied at The Royal Welsh
College of Music & Drama where she performed regularly in the college
chamber choir & productions. Roles included 1st Boy (Magic
Flute), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Clorinda (Combattimento
di Tancredi et Clorinda) & Amore (L’Incoronazione
di Poppea).

In 2003 she
began to work in Opera & worked with several different companies
including London City Opera (Madam Butterfly USA Tour), Opera
Holland Park (L’Arlesiana and Fidelio), The
Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company (Princess Ida and HMS
Pinafore), Carl Rosa Opera (HMS Pinafore UK Tour), Wexford
Festival Opera (La Vestale and Prinzessin Brambilla) and Tower
Festival Opera (Anna Bolena). On the lighter side Melanie was
engaged as a Swing for the 2005 Thursford Christmas Spectacular.
